Nurse aid programs search schools and colleges offering certified

Participants are taught to: Take and record Vital Signs, monitor urinary catheters, apply dressings, monitor patients and report adverse reactions of medications or treatments, feed patients, monitor patient safety, record intake and output, assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, enemas, basic wound care, patient mobility and personal hygiene. Students must have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass drug and criminal background screening. A TB test is also administered. Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.

Perform duties such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, or move patients, or change linens. May transfer or transport patients. Includes nursing care attendants, nursing aides, and nursing attendants.
