Canada mastercraft tool

If CT were in the US they'da been called out on it decades ago by one of the consumer watchdogs. A lot of people here are assuming that the OP will have a problem before the exchange has even been attempted! How about you go ahead and try and exchange it and let us know what happens?? I had an experience with a Mastercraft screwdriver that I broke by trying to screw in a huge bolt type screw into a 2X4 and part of the screwdriver head broke off.

I figured there was no way they would cover the lifetime warranty because I assumed there would be a misuse and abuse clause and to be quite frank I had no business trying to use the tool in the manner that caused it to break.

But all I had to do was walk in hand them the screwdriver no receipt and I walked out 5 mins later with a new one. The store took down his details and placed an order for a new case rather than dumping out all of the tools from an existing one. Because the stores are individually run, though, it really is a YMMV.
